Why we need science communication for nature conservation

Nature is aesthetically pleasing and inspiring all on its own, with or without a scientific context. So why do we need science communication for conservation? People need inspiration, but they also need a concrete roadmap to help them figure out what to do with their inspired energy! Art can provide the inspiration, while science can provide the instructions.
